Hello, my name is Heather Ryan. I cannot thank you enough for your website. My great grandfather, Charles Brindley Mills left Swansea, twice, once to be a trooper in the 2nd Boer War and then finally left his Father, John Mills and sister Amy Jane Mills Chamberlain of 1 Edward St, for USA in 1906. He settled in Baltimore, Maryland with his wife, Ethel Kate Humby Mills. My grandfather, Kenneth Leroy Mills was born in Baltimore. I thoroughly enjoyed your Fathers’ fashion sketches, as my Mother, Rosemary Ethel Mills Parks was a model, and Amy Jane Mills Chamberlain apparently was a dressmaker according to the 1910 census of Wales. Thank you for your well organized website, and thank you for helping me find bits and pieces of my ancestors, as there isnt and wasn’t much info passed down to me and I’m hunting and pecking to put the pieces together. Very meaningful!
Sincerely,
Heather
Many thanks for your remarks about my website, Heather, and for your note on your Mills family origins in Wales. I wish you further success with your research.
